HGH introduce their New Dual Channel Panoramic sensor, for a better Security by Design

November 19th 2019, Igny, France– The experts in electro-optics HGH are launching their new security sensor : a brand new 360° thermal & visible sensor reinvented from design to performance, through improved image quality, data collection and analysis.

The SPYNEL range is well known worldwide in the defence and security sectors. The new Dual Channel SPYNEL-U is the only sensor in the world to provide with two High Resolution panoramic videos: a thermal and a visible one. While the thermal panoramic video is ideal for real-time long-distance detection and tracking, thanks to its high contrast, the High-Resolution visible panorama helps identifying quickly the detected threats.

Another worth-mentioning innovation is that the new SPYNEL-U was designed with the same base as SPYNEL-X and SPYNEL-S, making all three sensors easily interchangeable. They can be installed on the same platforms or tripods for instance. SPYNEL-U is not only used by the police and special forces for ground-based detection of multiple threats coming from land or sea, such as cars, camouflaged men, zodiacs; it is also ideal for the protection of public events and demonstration, and for the surveillance of critical infrastructures (SEVESO sites for instance).

Edouard Campana, Sales Director at HGH said: “SPYNEL-U is a reliable uncooled technology requiring no maintenance; we are very excited about the evolution of its performance, and the improved visible and thermal image quality provided, which has never been so high.’
