Thanks to CYCLOPE software‘s flexibility and a sensor design specifically thought to fit all configurations, the SPYNEL solution provides effective communication with external sensors and security systems: When a threat is detected, videos and tracking information are automatically shared. This easy integration capability was imagined to provide a better situational awareness for Naval and Security applications!

 SPYNEL & CYCLOPE Integration capabilities for naval applications

When embedded on board a Vessel, the SPYNEL IR panoramic sensor is integrated with a Combat Management System (CMS) through its CYCLOPE software. This integration depends on the operational use:

• The CYCLOPE HMI can be fully shared on another workstation with a switch-over functionality.

• CYCLOPE transmits to the CMS:

  • Videos to recognize and identify a track.
  • Tracks and metadata (position, speed, bearing, size, classification…)
  • Alarm messages triggered on several conditions.

• The SPYNEL sensor integrates with external sensors (Radar, AIS, ADS-B or WECDIS) to perform data fusion.

• The SPYNEL solution is also able to control an external sensor performing slew-to-cue:

  • A spotlight can be focused on a Man Over Board (MOB) after being detected by SPYNEL;
  • A Long-Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) will act against a detected threat to prevent any aggressive contact.

 SPYNEL Integration capabilities for security applications

For security applications, the SPYNEL solution is installed on a critical site providing wide area surveillance while replacing a large number of smaller fixed cameras.

• The SPYNEL solution can communicate with hypervision systems like Video Management Systems (VMS).

•   SPYNEL & CYCLOPE transmit sectorial videos in different formats, which can be recorded in standard Network Video Recorders (NVR).

•  When integrated into a VMS, SPYNEL can automatically send alarm notifications: HGH is an official ONVIF member!

•  HGH’s own hypervision system CYCLOPE Hypervisor gathers all data from multiple SPYNEL cameras: panoramic videos, tracks, thumbnails, alarms’ list…

Data communication in brief:
