HGH Infrared Systems celebrates EURONAVAL’s 50th anniversary with new technologies for maritime surveillance

October 23rd, Paris, France – This week, HGH Infrared Systems is making its 6th appearance at the leading international trade show for maritime security and naval defence Euronaval. In the context of a maritimization of the global economy, the company will present the latest infrared technologies for the Maritime Defence industry.

HGH and its 360° thermal cameras SPYNEL play a key role in securing and protecting seas, coastal areas and ports. SPYNEL-X, on display Hall 2B stand C37, is the InfraRed Search & Track System with the highest definition in the world. With its 24/7 wide area surveillance capabilities, SPYNEL-X can detect, track and record an unlimited number of threats from a distance of 15km.

The sensors can now be equipped with a visible channel and a laser range finder, for a better recognition. This new V-LRF option allows for an unparalleled threat identification system with no blind spot. The five SPYNEL models never stop evolving, to suit the users’ growing needs and to support the modernization of the Defence industry. SPYNEL’s integrated CYCLOPE software can now analyse the behavior of the detected target and automatically alert the hypervisor with a visual alarm, an email or a screenshot, if the threat is confirmed. If the detected intrusion is authorized, CYCLOPE will not launch the alarm.

Built up to military standards, the SPYNEL sensors were chosen by several Navies and installed on multiple war frigates and maritime platforms. HGH’s surveillance systems are selected for their ability to maintain a high detection rate without false positives, to resist all the vibrations that affect ships (engines, winds, wave shocks), and to be stabilized at sea state level 6, with 4 to 6-meter waves.

Edouard Campana, Sales Director at HGH Infrared Systems, said: «We have been equipping ports and military ships for many years now, and though our surveillance systems continue to demonstrate their high effectiveness, SPYNEL are continuously evolving. The innovations we are showcasing today are the proof we adapt to the growing need for ever more efficient detection and tracking technologies. »
