To mark the beginning of the year, we are delighted to share with you some exciting news and projects for the space industry!

An HGH OGSE for LSTM Detection Laboratory!

We have been developing a partnership with Airbus Defence & Space for the supply of a DCN1000V4 vacuum compatible blackbody meant to serve as Optical Ground Support Equipment for Airbus’ Detection Laboratory, dedicated to the characterization and testing of infrared sensors, to be integrated in the infrared radiometer of the Land Surface Temperature Monitoring – LSTM space mission!

💡LSTM is a mission part of the ESA-led Copernicus programme, aiming at the collection of physical data from Earth’s surface to better assess and monitor the effects of climate change.

A feasibility study conducted on behalf of a major industrial prime: innovation first!

To rise our technical skills for vacuum applications and develop the technology readiness of our related product range, we recently undertook and conducted a feasibility study on behalf of a major European Industrial Prime, for the supply of two vacuum cavity blackbody sources meant to serve as OGSE for the calibration of infrared imagers for further embedment in satellites payloads!

High emissivity being the corner stone of space applications since it enables drastic reduction on radiometric temperature measurement uncertainties, HGH managed to simulate two blackbody models able to recreate earth and space radiations, making them valuable assets for infrared electro-optics instruments manufacturers, integrators and end-users, should they be ordered and manufactured.

Through a proper use of our engineering resources and an adequate project management, we succeeded in extending our vacuum products range portfolio and we are willing to offer the above prototypes as standard solutions of our catalogue! We are glad to have confirmed our capacity to establish a derisking strategy in order to demonstrate our competence and credibility to respond and meet the technical requirements of Industrial Space Primes and Space Agencies in their search for excellence.»
