Why choose HGH targets?

MAIN BENEFITS

With decades of experience in electro-optical test equipment,
HGH delivers testing solutions that meet the highest industry standards.

VERSATILE INTEGRATION

Easily-mounted on collimator target wheels, blackbody sources, or visible light sources

REAL-TIME ACCURACY

Integrated high-precision sensors enable continuous temperature monitoring for stable calibration

CUSTOMIZABLE TARGET PATTERNS

Choose from a range of designs tailored to your system’s needs

MULTI-PURPOSE APPLICATIONS

Ideal for optical alignment, field of view calibration, image distortion correction, and more

Target patterns for electro-optical system performances measurement

HGH’s wide range of target patterns are optimized for specific tests for visible to infrared instruments :

Harmonization_target
Harmonization_cross-hair_target

Harmonization (pinhole or cross-hair) target – Optical axis alignment

Align the optical axes of multi-channel optronic systems with precision. The harmonization target ensures all optical paths are perfectly aligned for peak system accuracy.

square_target

Square target – Field of view (FOV) measurement

Used to determine the FOV, this target helps validate that your camera accurately captures the desired scene within the correct spatial limits.

distortion _targets

Distortion target – Image distortion analysis

Identify and correct lens distortions such as barrel and pincushion effects. This target supports precise geometric calibration.

knife_edge_targets

Knife-edge target – MTF evaluation

Measure the modulation transfer function (MTF) to evaluate spatial resolution. The high-contrast edge allows detailed analysis of image sharpness.

slit_targets

Slit target – LSF measurement

Analyze line spread function (LSF) to assess the system’s response to fine lines and spatial detail, critical for system resolution validation.

4-bar_targets

4-bar target – Thermal resolution (MRTD)

Evaluate the minimum resolvable temperature difference of infrared cameras. This is key for calculating the range of thermal imagers.

triangle_targets

Triangle target – Triangle Orientation Discrimination (TOD)

Measure the performances and the range of any Thermal Imager using the most advanced, bias-free procedure.

Target patterns dimension accuracy

Dimension > 1000 µm:±30µm
250µm < Dimension< 1000µm : ±3%+3µm
100µm < Dimension < 250µm :±10µm
Dimension < 100µm:±5µm

All targets are supplied with a certificate of compliance with measurement uncertainty ± 2 µm

Targets dedicated for visible to SWIR cameras and Night Vision Devices

USAF1951 visible target – Standardized spatial resolution testing

The most universally used standardized pattern for testing spatial resolution, the USAF1951 target includes varying bar sizes to evaluate and benchmark the resolution of optical systems. Also available with various contrasts for MRC (Minimum Resolvable Contrast) measurement.

Multi-contrast target

This target with linear and logarithmic successively contrasted areas is used for dynamic range of visible to SWIR cameras measurement.
