All RCN blackbodies come equipped with CoolSpeed Technology. Based on an innovative internal structure, CoolSpeed halves the cooling duration of cavity blackbodies without compromising key features like high emissivity, uniformity, rapid warm-up time, and temperature stability.

With an average cooling rate of -6°C/min (from 1200°C to ambient) and a maximum rate of -12°C/min at 700°C, CoolSpeed offers high flexibility for users, especially in demanding environments like Research & Development projects and production lines.

The RCN series high temperature cavity blackbodies are designed to meet the rigorous demands of sensor calibration. With their ability to operate at temperatures up to 1350°C, they are perfect for testing a broad array of infrared sensors, including thermal imagers, pyrometers, and SWIR to LWIR cameras. The RCN cavity blackbodies are delivered with an individual radiometric certificate of calibration over MWIR and LWIR traceable to International Primary Standards, ensuring reliable performances to the thermal imagers tested.
