HGH receives the French Navy’s Perséus label for its SPYNEL-F Maritime Surveillance System
November 4th 2026, Paris Nord Villepinte, France – HGH is proud to announce that its SPYNEL-F maritime surveillance system has been awarded the Perséus Label, a distinction recognizing innovative technologies tested in real-world conditions with the French Navy.
The award recognizes an experiment conducted in January 2026, during which HGH’s SPYNEL-F system was tested aboard a French Maritime Gendarmerie patrol vessel. By taking part in this operational trial, HGH demonstrated its commitment to working alongside the French Navy to evaluate innovative technologies and assess their potential applications in maritime operations.

The Perséus Label is awarded as part of a joint initiative led by the French Navy and the French Directorate General of Armaments (DGA). It highlights the commitment of industrial partners willing to test their innovations in operational environments and contribute to the development of future defence capabilities.
The award ceremony took place today during Euronaval 2026, on November 4th 2026, and was chaired by the French Navy’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans and Programs and the Director of the Defence Innovation Agency (AID).
Designed for maritime surveillance applications, SPYNEL-F is a panoramic infrared system that provides continuous situational awareness around a vessel or USV. Its applications include supporting navigation and detecting people who have fallen overboard.
Following the initial trial aboard a French Maritime Gendarmerie patrol vessel, SPYNEL-F is expected to be tested on four different types of vessels to assess the system’s interoperability across a range of maritime platforms.
“This Perséus Label is a strong recognition of our commitment to developing and validating innovative technologies in close collaboration with end users. The trial conducted with the French Maritime Gendarmerie in January 2026 was an important opportunity to assess SPYNEL-F in an operational maritime environment. We are proud that this work has been recognized by the French Navy and look forward to continuing to demonstrate the system’s potential to support maritime situational awareness, navigation and man-overboard detection.” Cyril Marchebout, Sales Director, HGH
HGH is exhibiting SPYNEL-F for USV applications at Euronaval this week, booth C87, Hall 6.
