SPYNEL-M is a compact, robust and cost-effective solution for monitoring large areas. Particularly compact (1.8 kg and 12x20cm), SPYNEL-M is a high-resolution panoramic thermal camera that acts like an infrared radar. The camera continuously captures full 360-degree infrared images, updated every second, providing real-time security against intrusions and threats of all kinds (people, RIBs, vehicles, etc.).

SPYNEL-M can be easily carried in a rucksack for rapid deployment in the field, for example on a lightweight mast. It can also be fixed to the top of a building, for effective extended panoramic surveillance. With a low 5 watts power consumption, SPYNEL-M can be solar-powered for stand-alone, disconnected operation. Unlike conventional radars, this system is fully passive and emits no waves: it cannot be detected or jammed. This panoramic thermal camera benefits from all the features of the CYCLOPE software for automatic detection and tracking of an unlimited number of intrusions, day and night, whatever the weather conditions.
